Nigel is a media executive, writer, and journalist. His career has included running a digital media business, working at board level for a range of companies and organisations, launching TV and online channels, and TV journalism.

He started as a BBC News Trainee, and worked as a regional journalist at BBC Points West in Bristol. He then joined ITN, and went on to become Editor of ITV News, in charge of programmes like News at Ten and the ITN News Channel.

He was also a special events producer – and was editor of the ITV Princess Diana funeral programme, and the 1997 and 2001 ITV general election results programmes. After leaving ITN in 2002, he became a media and digital executive.

He has been CEO of Teachers TV, MD of Ten Alps Digital, Chair of the Local TV Network, and CEO of Inclusive Digital. Nigel was made a Fellow of the Royal Television Society in 2002.
